St. Mary Magdalene is committed to serving the community in many ways. In April of 2014, we established a relationship with Mobile Med. Our volunteers on Wednesdays and Fridays open the office wing doors to provide a waiting room and also restroom facilities for patients with appointments.
The Mobile Med van offers medical services to low-income, uninsured, and Medicaid-enrolled residents of Montgomery County. There are multiple fixed site and mobile van locations throughout Montgomery County. They never turn anyone away for inability to pay for healthcare services.

The St. Mary Magdalene Thrift Store has been in operation for many years. It was originally located in the church until 1992 when Ray Barnes purchased the trailer that houses our Thrift Store today. Many faithful parishioners through the years have devoted their time as volunteers to support this Outreach Ministry. The early pioneers include Ray Barnes and Hazel Young.
Our mission is to serve the community. We provide clothing, household goods, shoes, toys, books and jewelry at affordable prices, and also offer our hospitality and fellowship. We are grateful to our church family that provides many wonderful donations along with a growing number of our faithful customers.
Three years ago, we partnered with Turnkey Enterprises who provided a shed where the community can donate clothing, shoes and bedding. Twice a month the shed is emptied and the church is paid 9 cents a pound for the donations.
As we move forward from our pandemic limitations, we are thrilled to have the trailer back in operation, with our Grand Opening on April 2nd! Our hours will be the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, from 9:30 to 1:00. We are happy to receive donations on those days.
